View Full Version : Printers won't print

We have recently upgraded several of our computers to
Windows XP from Windows 98. Occasionally, the default
printer on a PC will not print from several
applications. This is happening on several of the
computers also. When the print button is clicked, the
little printer icon shows in the system tray, but it is
like the print job just disappears. If we change the
default printer and then change it back to the one we
were trying to print to, it prints fine. Any ideas why
this is happening?

If you upgraded and left the printers connected to the PC during the
upgrade, then you've corrupted the drivers. Follow the instructions at:
http://www.coribright.com/Windows/Article%20One.htm

and uninstall and then reinstall them.

Is this applicable to network printers also?

Thanks!
