faxing from my computer

hi,
i want to send a fax from my computer,but when i try to
activate the faxing facillity it wants me to out the
windows xp disc in,but windows was already loaded on my
computer when i purchased it and did not come with a disk.
what can i do??

When it asks for the file from the XP CD, point it to the i386 folder in the
c:\Windows\ directory.

You either need the windows XP CD or the setup dump to set up fax on your
system. Check whether you have a setup dump. If you have it then point to
the windows\i386 folder in that dump. If you got your windows installed form
an OEM then you may have to contact them.
