installing sp4 update

I have installed the sp4 update from Microsoft and now my
computer will not boot up.
I can see lots of subdirectories in the WINNT directory
called $NTSERVICEPACKUNINSTALL$ , $NTUNINSTALL*.*

Any ideas how I should proceed.

This is the Windows XP Newsgroup, you most likely want the Windows 2000
