zapped compressed folders

I'm using Windows XPsp1,previously with the xp compressed
folders. After posting my concerns about installing
Winzip and losing the use of the compressed folders
option I was advised that it was possible for the two to
be used together. After folowing the advice and
instructions--Start>Run>regsvr32 zipfldr.dll --,I
received a short notification that the procedure had been
sucessful. However,I am not able to locate the compressed
folders option normally available by R-click on desktop.
After the R-click only Winzip is available. I tried again
by using the instructions given,and was once more advised
the procedure was sucessful,but am still unable to locate
the Compressed folders option. It is probably right under
my nose,but I can't see it. A 19th century mind and a
21st century machine are not compatable,apparently.
Any assistance should be at a beginners level,please. Too
old soon,too late smart.

I've never used Winzip but if you are looking to use XP ZIPping software
then;
Right click the Desktop (or any other 'Explorer' location).
You should now see an option 'New',
put your cursor over 'New',
you should have some more options,
the bottom one being 'Compressed (Zipped) Folder'

Select this and a new ZIP folder wiil be created on the Desktop (or whatever
location you are at).

>Patrick,thank you for replying. However as I feared once
Winzip is downloaded it consumes XPs compressed folders
and it is no longer available. After an earlier post I
was given this method to recover the use of XPs
compressed folders Start>Run>regsvr32 zipfldr.dll
Though the computer notification says this was
sucessful,on two occasions,I am still unable to locate
the compressed folders option by R-click on desktop.
My question was--am I not looking in the right place for
the newly created compressed folders ?
The Winzip program is necessary--don't ask why. The
answer is too involved. But I would also like to have the
XPs compressed folders for my personal use, and because
of its simplistic use. Anyway, if anyone has a solution
as to how Winzip can be retained and at the same time
recover the use of XPs compressed folders, I would be
grateful.
