View Full Version : Programs don't run

Greetings,

I recently migrated from 98 to xp. Now I have two programs
now that won't 'run'.

The first is Quickbooks 2003 Pro. This ran fine up until I allowed
'windows update' to download and install in the background
yesterday. After that, when I try to start QB, it generates the warning:
"This version of Quickbooks requires MS IE6.0 or later. Install IE 6.0 from
the QB CD-Rom..." I tried to install the version from the CD, but of course
that didn't work. Intuit (QB OEM) was no help, and they charge for 'all
technical help', imagine that.

It appears to be a protection or a version problem, but I don't have a clue
how to proceed. Any Ideas?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try removing QuickBooks using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, then
reinstall QuickBooks and see if you can then see if it will run.
