Hi!

I have got a problem to install a network printer to my XP Pro, if I am
logged in as domain user.
If I use Point and Print, I receive a message which told me, that a
POLICY will restrict the operation and installation ended.

Yes, I have seen some postings here already, which all leads to the MS
article. But as you can see below, it didn't help me.

Here are my current findings:

The Server OS is not a matter, it won't work with NT 4, W2k and W2003
server.
Client FS is not the matter, either FAT32 and NTFS will show the same
result.
It is not the environment, because W2k and NT4 clients can install and
print properly.
It is not the RPC patch or a virus. I set up the system this week and
our LAN is clean.

It is the SP1. Without it, I can install.

And if I install the driver as domain admin (printer operator does not
work either) and with SP1, the domain user can install the driver
afterwards, too.

I have played around with the Group Policy and the Point and Print
restriction, but so far, without success.

Any other ideas? I prefer anything that may help.

Thanks in advance
MK
