I have a dell dimension 4600c running windows xp and I
need to install a microtek slimscan c3 scanner.
the scanner needs an EPP printer port. In the BIOS I have
made and saved the necessary changes, however, in device
manager (windows xp), my printer port is detected as ECP
on LPT1.
Dell suggested that I update my flashBios, been there,
done that, still, device manager keeps detecting my port
as ECP.
has anybody had a similar problem? how did you resolve it.
