On a Win98 computer I used the Memory Monitor to watch
GDI Memory and the System Monitor to watch Allocated
Memory. In Windows XP all resources are monitored with
the Performance Monitor which has a lot of options but
nothing named GDI Memory or Allocated memory. I think
Microsoft may have changed the name of these items in XP.
Does anyone know the Windows XP Home names for the
Win98 "GDI Memory" and "Allocated Memory".

Thanks

First of all, note that the System Resources of which you are
speaking (I think) are not memory. The term System Resources, in
Windows 9x and Me, referred to a particular data structure that
doesn't exist in Windows XP.

That's one of XP's many improvements over 9X. There are no System
Resources to run out of or to be concerned with.
