How do I boot into DOS

Windows XP does not have an option to boot into MS-DOS
because it is not based on the old MS-DOS platform.
Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter to get the
Command Prompt for the MS-DOS emulator.
The Windows XP CD itself is bootable and is a Startup Disk.
It has all the necessary tools to repair XP in the event of an
unlikely failure. However, you can make your own bootable
floppy disk if you so desire:

Sorry, that's not possible with Windows XP, which has no DOS. If
you want to do so, you have to boot from a DOS diskette (but if
your hard drive is NTFS, you won't be able to see it without
special third-party software).
