Printing Error - Cannot print from Internet explorer

I cannot print from Internet Explorer. When choosing
PRINT from the FILE menu, i receive an error -
PRINTING ERROR - AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED DURING THIS
OPERATION. Therefore, I cannot print from IE.
My printers are not seen when you click on PRINTERS &
FAXES in CONTROL PANEL and when clicking on ADD PRINTER
WIZARD, nothing happens.

However, printing does work if I were to use other
programs, such as MS Word. All printers are available
and allows me to choose which printer I want to send it
to. Note also, I am running this with WIN XP
PROFESSIONAL, and on a network.

I was told to recover/repair WIN XP PRO and I did so.
Once doing that, the printers are seen and I am able to
print from Internet Explorer. However, the error does
return after a few minutes and the printers are no longer
visible.

Any comments?
