faxing

I would ask two questions.

Firs is obvious but here goes...are you using th ephone
line at the same time as tryin gto send the fax? Your
line will work as a fax line (or should but you cannot be
dialed up to the internet and fax at the same
time)..assuming that you have done this...excuse me if it
sounds dumb but I have friends who have tried that...:-)

Another reason could be that your fax/modem is
defective. Try using hyperterminal to dial the modem. If
that works then the fax should be working and you could
have a problem with the fax portion of the modem/fax
device.
