How can I set fax console to answer only distinctive rings
( double rings) as offered by local phone companies to
Identify incoming faxes as opposed to voice calls( all
fax / printers come with this option but I have not seen
it for xp) as is if the fax console is on , ALL incoming
calls go to the fax instead of allowing voice calls to
connect to a phone.

Distinctive Ring is not supported by Windows XP. Therefore, Windows XP Fax
will answer every incoming call it receives. The alternative is to install
an external switching device to your phone line.
