Intalling a printer & receiving an error

I am installing a printer on my PC & I recive the
following message:

Cannot Install this hard ware, the printer name is
invalid.

I have Windos XP,

What make and model of printer are you trying to install?

How are you connecting it to the PC?

Are you logged on as an Administrator or a User with Admin Rights?

Do you have the latest drivers from the printer manufacturer's website?
