Its possible that there could be a program running in the
background that is not responding and therefore when you
load windows it is also attempting to run and its
stopping at this point. What you need to do is to
individually shut down the programs running in the
background to find out which one is causing the problem.
To stop these background application from loading at
startup, you need to go to
start,then run and type
msconfig
then click on the startup tab and this will bring you a
list of the programs running in the background, uncheck
the box next to them to stop them from loading the next
time windows boots.
