I cannot delete write-protected files. Message comes up "Access is
denied..etc." I know it is possible to find where these files are "hidden"
and delete. Can someone please tell me how to do it?

Select the file, right click, select properties then attributes will show
read only etc. Deselect this.
Be careful what you delete.

Neither can anyone else. That's one of the things
"write-protected" means.

Are you having trouble finding the files? Make sure you're set to
see them. In My Computer, go to Tools | Folder Options, and on
the View tab, check "Show hidden files and folders."
Once you can see them, you can turn off write-protection and then
delete them. But what are the files you're trying to delete?
There may be a very good reason for these files being hidden and
it's possible that they should *not* be deleted.
