Does windows xp have a built in fax?

What do I have to do to use the fax on the computer?
I heard xp has a built in fax, is that true.? can you fax
from it without installing a fax machine? Miller

Yes, XP has in-built fax software. You have to have a Fax/modem card
installed or an all-in-one printer such as the units HP and Lexmark sell. In
addition, the fax card or all-in-one has to have a connection to a standard
telephone line. You cannot fax using cable or DSL or ADSL or satellite
connection. However, you can have such a connection as well for
internet-connection purposes.
