Luminescent ICON TEXT boxes

1. I have NO web content enabled on my desktop
2. I DO have the check box ticked in Control Panel/System/Advanced/Visual
Effects to enable luminescent icon text

Until 3 days ago I had luminescent icon text boxes. Now gone.

What gives???? PLEASE????

My WinXP Pro has no such line in that Visual Effects window. What kind of
system do you have (make and model of computer? video card?)?

Maybe it's just a down-under phenomenon? ;^}

Luminescent?.... do you mean Drop Shadows?
Arrange Icons by> Lock icons is NOT checked?
Using 32bit in Display> Settings> Colors?
Using an XP theme?
