Printer will only print in red ink: hp deskjet 825c

Everything I print comes out in red, no matter what it
is. Any idea why this is happening? I have had some
suggestions that I may be out of black ink but the
printer is new and I have not printed very much. Is
there a place I can check my ink levels? They do not
show when I look at the properties, etc.

You can run out of ink very quickly! Open the printer and check the ink
cartridge by actually looking at it.
