Hi,
I am just curious to know is there a way to disable
the start button so that no one else can see what
programs have been installed in my system.
Just curious to know.Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks....

Hello Rams,
No, I believe there isn't any way to disable the start button.
Perhaps you can auto-hide the taskbar?

Jose Francisco

Hi,
All those are are shortcut entries. Remove them if you like, you just need
to double-click the program's executable from the program folder to run it
instead.
Find the shortcuts here:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
You'd be better off simply putting the shortcuts under your profile, then
logging off the machine when you're not there. You can set it to log you off
after a specific period of inactivity as well, in case you forget to.

Rick,
Why not just establish a password requirement to open up Windows.
