I noticed that my dbx files are over 125 MG. Does windows set a max. limit
to those files, or do I have to do some cleaning out myself ???
OS Xp with all the latest updates. Thanks Phil

It sounds like you've archived many mails complete with attachments.
Why not store the attachments elsewhere & just save the mail if you need to
keep it there.
I have piles of mail stored & it's under 20MB.

Hi, Phil.
My *.dbx files total over 874 MB. No problem!
But, while checking that, I noticed that the .windowsxp.general file alone
was over 300 MB; I compacted that one and dropped it to 107 MB, so my total
is now under 700 MB. ;<)
I back up my mail dbx files from time to time, but don't bother with the
news dbx files. If I lose those, I'll just download the posts again.
