Every time I go to a folder in Windows explorer, it displays icons, I always
change it to display details, but next time I go to that folder, it is back
to icons again. I have checked the box to remember view settings in folder
options, but it wont remember my view settings.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this??

Thank You

Reset the folder layout cache: Delete the Registry keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell \Bags and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell \BagMRU, both with
all the subentries, then create new keys "BagMRU" and "Bags" here. At
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell NoRoam create a new
DWORD entry
BagMRU Size
and set this to
5000 (decimal)
Restart the computer.
