Today I had to do a normal shut down of my computer.
When I turned it back on, I was prompted to enter a
password, which has never happened (I have never set up
the computer to ask for a password). I clicked on
cancel and the computer proceeded to load. However, very
quickly after clicking "cancel", I received the following
error message:
"explorer.exe-ordinal not found
the ordinal 7 could not be located in the dynamic link
library OLEAUT32.dll"
This happens now every time I reboot the computer. I
have tried safe mode, last good known configuration,
etc. Nothing works; I get the same error message
regardless of boot method.
Any ideas how to fix this? I can do nothing with my
computer until this problem is solved. I am using
Windows XP home edition.
Thanks-
