When I click on the button "Compose New Fax" a message
box comes up:

awsnto32.exe - Entry Point Not Found
X The procedure entry point WnetRemoveCachedPassword
could not be located in the dynamic link library MPR.dll.

I have Windows XP Professional

You lost me. "Compose New Fax..." is not a menu command in Windows XP Fax.
Provide more detail, including where this "button" is and how the
installation of Windows XP Fax proceeded with your analog fax modem.

FWIW, awsnto32.exe is part of Windows 95/98 AWFax which, as we all know,
will not work under Windows XP.
