Word Help!!!

When I edit my word documents and I highlight a word that
I want to change and begin typing, the highlighted word
is not replaced. Rather, it just gets 'pushed' in front
of the new word I just typed. All my other Word programs
fom previous cpu's would automatically delete the
highlighted text, can I turn this option back on? Thanks

Open WORD, Tools/Option, set the behavior you want.

You've configured your copy Word to have typing "not" replace selection.
Go to Tools/Options (probably Edit Tab ... depending on version) to
turn it on.

This sort of problem has nothing to do with Operating System or CPU, and
it's best discussed in the specialized Word newsgroups ...
