Upgrade from XP home to XP Pro

I have Windows XP Home on my computer now and have just purchades a
copy of XP Pro at school.
I would like to upgrade my XP Home to Pro without losing everything .
Is it possible.
my XP Home is guprade version over my Windows 98 and my XP Pro Cd that
I bought at school just says
Not for retail or oem distribution.

Is it possibel to keep all my old doc. and programs or do I have to
install new?

You just boot from the Windows XP CD and choose upgrade install. it will
work just fine.
