Change Network Printer Name

How can you change the printer name that appears on a XP
workstation. The printer is a network printer and only
shows the path to the printer as the name. Regular users
get confused with this and would rather have it called
what they want so that they can remember what printer is
what. Any help on this matter would be fantastic. I know
of a solution by going into the registry and changing the
value there but is there an easier way.
