The default configuration on the serial port in XP does not match what is
configured on the printer. Open Printer Folder / File / Server Properties
/ Ports tab. Select the Com port that you wish to print to an Configure.
Set the Baudrate (Bits per second) to whatever you have configured for your
printer. The Data bits, Parity, and Stop bits are probably the same but
verify these as well. Flow control by default is set to none. This will
have to change this match that of your device.
