I have a peer to peer network that has 3 XP Pro
computers. One of the XP's has a shared HP1000 laserjet
Usb printer attached to it. The printer works on the
attached computer, but does not work for the networked
computers.
If I let the other computers automatically install the
printer it uses a Virtual Usb port. I try a test print,
but nothing happens.
If I install the printer manually, it uses the
\\computername\printer port, but it gives me a printer
error when I try to print a test page.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers on all
three computers, but that did not help.
Any ideas?
