Printer will not print

I have a hp deskjet printer that will pull the paper in,
but will not print. Can anyone help

Does the carriage operate normally?.. do the cartridges have any ink in
them?.. if the answer is "YES" to both of these, consider having your
printer serviced/checked out, or replace it..
