I guess this is minor but I want to remove the Winamp
links (and other intrusions) that appear along
with "Explore" when I right click the Start button. How
the hell do I do that? I just want to remove the annoying
intrusions from all these competing programs that are
TRYING TO TAKE OVER! :)

Thanks for your help.

Hi Tommy Boy,

Often, the option to show those links is within the program itself - this is
the first place you should check (under tools, options, custom etc.). For
those that you cannot find, you would have to edit the registry. These are
the keys you should look in, please use caution:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\OpenWithList
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHan dlers
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\ContextMenuHandler s
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandle rs
