View Full Version : stopping new windows from opening in XP

A minor, but annoying problem-- when I insert a compact flash card into my
card reader, XP opens a window displaying the virtual drive assigned to the
card reader. The same thing happens if I insert a data CD,etc. I'd rather
this didn't happen since I want to open a specific program and not see that
window. Any ideas on how to turn this feature off?

I use TweakUI for XP to enable and disable the Autoplay screens.
TweakUI is one of the Power toys for XP available here:
