can't print using windows fax printer

when i try to print a fax the print wizard pops up and
step by step leads me thru the printing process. when i
click next the computer locks up and i have to shut down
and reboot.

Please explain the scenario in more detail for us to assist. Which print
wizard are you referring to? Are you using the Windows XP Fax software or
some third party fax software? Which is the type of document you are trying
to print? When you restart the machine, do you see any log entries in event
viewer.

Also please keep the 'Task Manager' open before doing this scenario so that
you can identify the process that's eating up the most CPU cycles.
