Hello,

I installed avant and found that it did not load web pages in my user
account so I uninstalled it. Now whenever I click on a link a link in
outlook express I get just a blank page. Anybody know what's going on?

Hi Walter,

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll. Then go to:
IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

Hyperlinks not opening:

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 actxprxy.dll and then repeat the
process for regsvr32 shdocvw.dll.

Check your settings here:

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit.

Under Application used to perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

Kelly,

I executed the commands you suggested, restarted just for the sake of it,
and now my links open up properly in OE. Thanks! However, the file type
looks like

(NONE) URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol

and there are NO entries. Should I click on "New" and add the entry above?
or should I just leave it alone since everything seems to work?

If you are comparing Kelly's line:
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit
to your line:
(NONE) URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol

then you are fine.

The "/Advanced/Edit" part in Kelly's line are the buttons you would click
to get to the screen to do the next step she described.

The (NONE) part in your line is normal too. (I think) Kelly didn't mention
it because that automatically shows up.
