Strange printer problem

This one has me and MS support stumped. I have a Windows XP Pro computer
with only Office XP installed. I can add all of the network printer I want
but when I try to add a local printer, after the wizard runs and it "looks"
like the drivers are loaded I get a message that says "Driver not loaded.
Access denied." It doesn't matter what account I use to do it either.

Well I fixed this one on my own. I did a repair install of XP Pro and it
fixed everything. Go figure.
