I have XP home running just fine and it "knows" about all three printers
that are on a common computer on my home network. From any other
application, I can select any of the printers and use them with no problem.
If, however, I try to print from IE6, it only offers the default printer
unless I click on the "Find Printer" button. When I do this, it finds the
other printers, but is prompting me to okay the download and installation of
drivers.
I went through the driver installation when I added the printers at the XP
level.
Is adding them again for IE6 necessary? Is this a duplicate installation,
or is there something that IE6 needs that it can't get from the operating
system?
I'd rather not duplicate the printer driver installation if there's
something else that I've missed.
Any suggestions appreciated.
