Q1:
On our home network my XP station cannot see the other W98 station, though
the W98 station can ping my computer without loss. Priorly all operations
went smoothly and I don't exactly remember having changed some serious
setting.
We connect over a router with DHCP inside and there is no conflict on that.
IP address assignments are OK.
Any idea what avoids my connecting to the other terminal?
Q2:
My XP does not recognize "ping" and "net view" at command prompt. It says
"ping - or net view ss not recognized as an internal command or batch file."
Any idea what is to be fixed at my XP installation?
Can these two be the result of a virus or trojan?
Urgent help appreciated.
