View Full Version : Make myself administrator

Today my XP software won't let me set up for the internet.
Nothing new.
My worry for the moment: It says on the accounts page
(correctly) that I am the administrator. I am, I use the
Home Edition at home and I told the machine I am the
administrator.
But when I have to 'activate' the Remote Access manager,
it gives me an error 5, access denied because I'm NOT the
administrator.
So I can't connect to the internet, not that anyone would
find that inconvenient. What the heck, the software's
free, right, and support is so cheap and easy to come by.
If you have any idea how I can FORCE this stupid program
to let me connect to the internet (all 'troubleshooters
and 'wizards' are utterly useless), please let me know as
soon as possible.
Thank you.
