My PC keeps sending a local downlevel document to the
print queue which results in my Epson CX3200 printing 2
lines of characters until the paper runs out! One line
reads MX@!L! This program cannot be run in DOS mode.
I have 2 other laptops on a wireless network. We all run
XP. Your help and comments would be appreciated.

Check for viruses. There is a virus that likes to copy infected EXE files
to shares. This includes print shares and when the compiled binary data
gets to the printer you end up with a bunch of wasted pages with only a
weird line or character on the top of the page.
