Hey there Miles
Try checking the boot.ini. It is a hidden system file.
This file is the one that lists the various operating
systems that may be installed on your system and allows
you to choose which one to boot. If there is only one
entry, Windows won't display a list. However, if there is
more than one, a menu of operating systems is displayed
allowing you to choose which one to boot from.
It may be possible that this has picked up another XP
entry.
Make a backup of the boot.ini and then delete one of the
unwanted XP entries from it.
