Files & Settings Transfer

I want to "Back-up" my system by setting up on a separate
external drive my Files & Settings.

When I read "HELP" about "Files & Settings Transfer
Wizard" it says it will "TRANSFER" my files now. I
stopped the transfer in fear.

Am I paranoid and too literal? Was it going to "TRANSFER"
my Files & Settings or was it going to make a "COPY"
(which is what I wanted).

It creates copies of the files.
