I don't know if this is the right place to be asking this, but does anyone
know whether it's possible to reduce the CPU and Memory usage of certain
applications. I have a couple of non-essential programs that I leave to "do
their thing" in the background, but occasionally they get a bit busy,
(i.e.Windows Movie Maker saving large movie files) and really bog down my
system. Obviously the best way would be to disable the applications until I
leave the PC idle for a bit and then let them go, but I have a lot of stuff
to do, and it would be better if they could run quietly in the background
without too much bother.
I hope someone can help.
Cheers,
Ed
