Remove Start Button

I have setup the taskbar on my tablet pc in a manner that makes the
start button unnessessery. I've reduced the size of the start button to
about 20*20 pixels by removing the windows icon and the word "start" by
using resource hacker. I now want to take the start button out
complelely. Any ideas?
