A couple years ago I wrote a screensaver for Windows, using the
Visual-C SDK. It's a simple display generator with no
configuration interface. It runs under Windows-95, -98 and -ME but
not under -XP. Under XP it lasts about a quarter-second
(guesstimate) after the timeout or after Preview is selected in the
Control Panel / Display / Screensaver window, then its window
closes.
I suspect it's giving the default handler some message that
requires program attention under XP but not under the older
systems. Can anyone suggest a document that discusses interface
differences in XP, especially for screensavers?
Thank you for your attention.
