After Gateway replaced my hard drive with a generic IDE
disk type 47 and loaded Millinium Version 4.90.3000 Build
3000, I attempted to upload the upgrade from the Windows
XP Home Edition Version 2002 CD several times. The
upgrade stops loading, and I get a message that states the
hard drive is corrupt and can not be repaired. What can I
do to fix this problem? The Windows XP software uploaded
from the CD and worked fine on the original hard drive.
Millinium works fine on the new hard drive, but Windows XP
will not upload from the CD. The computer is a Gateway
Model E-4600 with the following memories: Total Physical
127.26 MB, Available Physical 380 KB, Total Virtual 2 GB,
Available Virtual 1.77 GB, and Page file space 1.88 GB.
