Every time I try to run disk cleanup it just sits there.
It never does anything. It will sit there for hours. I
check the process and it says that it is still runing and
not responding so I don't know what the problem is. Any
feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Terry,

When you run the Disk Cleanup utility, the program may stop responding
(hang) while scanning for compressed files.

CAUSE
This issue occurs when there is an incorrect entry in the registry that is
used by the Disk Cleanup utility to locate compressed files..
