I down loaded some microsoft updates and now, when I boot up or I am away
from the computer for a while, I get a blue screen that says "to log in
click your user name. Since i am the only user I would like to disable this.
How do I do it?

Thanks in advance
Bill

There are two options:

If you have only one user, and that user has no password, then you will
automatically log in.

If you have more than one user, you can download TweakUI (there is a link to
power toys at microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone) and set up auto log in.

I'm not talking about username/password. This is just a screen that says
click you name.

Go Start | Run and type in "control userpasswords2" (no quotes) and hit
Enter. Uncheck the box that says "Users must enter a user name and
password..." Your system will now boot straight to the desktop as it did
before the .NET update :-)
