I'm sure that in W98 I could load an app. into the Start Menu / Prorams /
Startup folder (or whatever it was then called) and set it to run
_minimised_ at startup.

I don't see how to do the same in XP Pro.

Any ideas please.

Right click the program's shortcut and select Properties. You'll see it
there, on the Shortcut tab.

Start>Programs>Startup. In your list of programs/documents to start,
right-click each one wanted, select Properties, and in the dialog box,
select "Minimized" in drop-down lst in "Run:" .
