When I close down a program, the program is still shown on the toolbar. =
I have to right click and close each program one by one. Is this =
something to do with my setup or is it a bug in XP?

How are you closing down the program? Exactly what do you do?

By chance are you clicking on the "_" icon on the top right hand corner
of the window the program is running in? Doing this explains the
symptoms you report. This only minimizes the application.

Or the "X" in that same window position? Or are you running the
applications shut-down command, e.g. the menu: File/Exit (or something
like that)? Doing this will normally stop the application.

I'm clicking the "X" button in the usual way.
I think the problem only occurrs when I close an Internet Explorer =
window.
