Problem of internet connection

Dear All;

I am using windows XP Pro now and facing one problem regarding the connecting to Internet. Once I try to connect to Internet the system show me "pick up the handset and dial (or ask the operator to dial). Press OK immediately after dialing, then replace th
e handset." I don't know why this problem happened. Isn't setting problem or hardware problem? Anyone can help me?
