So here's my quandary:

When you drag files or folders around, you're supposed to
see a transparent version of them whilst you drag them
around, right? Well, I think I might have done something
that makes XP not do that anymore and it's bugging me.

What can I do to fix this?

Try Display>Appearance tab>Effects... "Show Windows contents while
dragging" should be checkmarked. If not, do so and see if fixed.

Funny, it is checked. Unchecking let me drag file icons
around and the ghosted versions appear, albeit kind of
weird-looking. :/
